At Mrityunjay Yogpeeth we feel that the secret to teaching an inspiring yoga class lies in
the instruction of great teachers and we encourage you to come and help us work on it. Our teaching
faculty is a dedicated collective of Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Trainers who have
an organic passion for the teachings and are fully grounded in traditional and contemporary
practices of Yoga.
Our teachers are not simply proponents of yoga, but rather lifelong students, mentors, and grounded
practitioners of yoga on and off the mat. Whether you are aspiring to be a 200-hour registered
yoga teacher (RYT 200), a 500 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT 500), or to grow deep
within your dedicated path with an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT 500), our teaching
staff has the knowledge and spiritual foundation to guide your growth.

DR. ANIRUDDH GURU PRATAP SINGH- Yoga Philosophy & Methodology
Teacher
Dr. Aniruddh is the visionary Director of Mrityunjay Yogpeeth and a renowned
teacher of Yoga Philosophy, Vedanta and Indian scriptures. His extensive background and
practical knowledge in academic and spiritual education make him uniquely qualified to
articulate a clear and practical understanding of the ancient spiritual teachings of
yoga.
With his Ph.D. in Indian Philosophy & 15+ years of teaching Experience, Dr Aniruddh has
developed a rare skill in teaching the complex philosophical teachings such as Patanjali Yoga
Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads in an easy, relatable and transformational way to students
from every age, field & culture.
Lead Instructors
Our Lead Instructors are master practitioners and Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga
Teachers (RYT 500, ERYT 500) who provide their perspective on a variety of subjects,
sharing decades of accumulated in-person study and teaching. Their purpose is to maintain the
integrity of yogic teachings by emphasising a student-first teaching philosophy that supports
transformation and self-awareness.
ACHARYA ATHARVA DEO- Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, Pranayam, Mantra Chanting, Astrology
Acharya Atharva Deo, a distinguished scholar from Rishikesh known for his unwavering commitment to the profound realms Astrology, Mantra Chanting & Yoga. An Alumni of Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh and family (Kula) of Saint Morya Gosawi, Pandit Ji’s educational journey has been marked by excellence. He has completed his Master’s degree from Pune, with a specialization in Economics he has widely traveled in India and imparted his teachings in South Africa from the last 8 years.
Ashish Negi- Meditation
A dedicated Yoga professional with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Yoga Sciences. With two years of teaching experience, I specialize in Hatha, Ashtanga, and Meditation, guiding students toward physical and mental balance. My approach is deeply influenced by a lifelong spiritual path and a background in gymnastics and martial arts, allowing me to bring a unique perspective on movement and mindfulness to every session
Sahil Chauhan- Anatomy
Sahil Chauhan is a yoga professional with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Yoga Science, specializing in Yoga Anatomy and Physiology. I teach both yoga therapy and anatomy, helping students understand the body from a scientific and yogic perspective. My expertise extends to Hatha Yoga, alignment principles, pranayama, meditation, and yogic philosophy. I aim to bridge traditional wisdom with modern anatomical knowledge, enabling students to practice safely, effectively, and with deeper awareness. Through my teaching, I focus on enhancing physical health, mental clarity, and holistic well-being in every individual.
Shailesh- Asan, Pranayam, phylosophy
Shailesh Barthwal is a yoga teacher and lifelong seeker from Rishikesh, India, with a strong academic and experiential foundation in yogic science. Raised in a spiritually rooted family, he developed an early connection with yoga and philosophy.He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Yoga and is a certified ERYT-500 teacher. Trained under a direct disciple of Swami Rama, he carries the Himalayan tradition, emphasizing inner stillness, breathwork, and meditative awareness. His expertise includes Shatkarma, Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, and Yoga Anatomy, along with experience in Vipassana and Sound Healing. He integrates traditional yogic practices with modern scientific understanding, offering yoga as a holistic system for physical wellbeing and deep inner transformation.
Diya Pokhriyal- Teaching Methodology
Diya Pokhriyal is a dedicated Yoga teacher and researcher, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Yoga, with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Yoga Science. With a strong academic foundation and a passion for teaching, she integrates traditional yogic wisdom with modern scientific understanding. She specializes in Yoga Anatomy, Teaching Methodology, Yoga Psychology, Meditation, and Breathwork (Pranayama), along with focused expertise in Prenatal Yoga, PCOS/PCOD management, and Fertility Yoga. Her approach emphasizes structured, therapeutic practices that support hormonal balance, reproductive health, and emotional well-being, while deepening the understanding of the mindbody connection.
Ireena- Alignment & Flow Yoga Teacher
Ireena is a passionate Russian-born yoga instructor with specialisation in Alignment and Flow Yoga. With a RYT 500 certification and practising for over a decade with some pretty amazing instructors, she brings accurate alignment of postures along with flowing in movement to provide all levels of practitioners an experience on their mat. Adding strength, flexibility and mindfulness to her classes at any level accessible to all is a joy. A lover of teaching as much as learning and our guiding light for wellness, Ireena’s style is firm yet loving, which allows students to explore themselves in-depth both physically and emotionally. She sees yoga as a way to achieve balance, harmony and self-discovery.
Raghav Khantwal- Master’s in Yogic Science and Alternative Therapy
Raghav Khantwal ji holds a Master’s degree in Yogic Sciences (M.A. Yogacharya). He has been teaching Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, and Pranayama since 2014, guiding students through both traditional wisdom and practical application. He has previously worked with Doordarshan and the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) under the Ministry of AYUSH, contributing as a Yoga Teacher. Currently, he is engaged as a Yoga Philosophy and Meditation teacher in schools across Vietnam and Rishikesh, sharing authentic yogic knowledge with an international community.
RAVNEET KAUR- Sound and Reiki Healing Teacher
Ravneet Kaur is a committed Sound and Vibration Healing Practitioner & teacher, in Rishikesh, India - the spiritual capital of yoga and well-being. With a profound passion for transformation through sound at the level of the soul, Ravneet provides healing and experiential journeys with the use of Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, mantras and other sacred instruments.
Experienced with traditional Himalayan sound therapy and modern vibrational therapy, Ravneet can bring the ancient knowledge blended with natural intuitive presence to a powerful, healing, meditative and rejuvenating session. Her healing sessions are renowned for balancing the body’s energy system, balancing the nervous system and supporting emotional purging.
CHIRAG BHATT- Yoga Anatomy Teacher
Chirag Bhatt is an experienced Anatomy teacher with a Yoga Master’s degree, and has beautifully meshed the concepts of yoga in his life. He is a man who understands the human body and thus scientific principles as well, and then combines that with a human's practical understanding of how the body works in a way that is simple to understand. His vibrant and entertaining approach educates while keeping the attention of recipients so they take the time to gain an understanding of the human body, a valuable tool for all body workers and fitness enthusiasts alike.
VINAY DHAMANDA- Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Asana Teacher
Vinay Dhamanda with the powerful yet meditative yoga approach of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Here in Mrityunjay Yogpeeth, He is teaching Ashtanga primary series, Vinyasa flow and Mysore style classes by focusing on breath, alignment and personal development.
With a quiet and genuine understanding, and a wisdom that comes from a committed practice of yoga, Vinay leads all level of students to cultivate strength, flexibility and wisdom on and off the mat.

Assistant Instructors & Guest Teachers
Our assistant instructors are dedicated and experienced 200-hour Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT
200) or 500-hour Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT 500), as well as Experienced Registered Yoga
Teacher (ERYT 500), and are always in our advanced mentorship and in-house teaching programs.
They also provide personalised support to students, peer-level guidance and a more approachable
mode of teaching and learning in the early stages.
