Attendance Policy
1. Purpose
This Attendance Policy outlines the expectations, procedures, and guidelines related to attendance and participation in Mrityunjay Yogpeeth’s Yoga Teacher Training Course. Attendance is essential to meet the comprehensive standards required for certification and personal growth as a yoga teacher.
2. Minimum Attendance Requirement
Trainees are required to attend a minimum of 85% of all scheduled classes and training hours. This includes contact hours (in-person or live online sessions) and non-contact hours (assignments, self-study, practicum).
3. Monitoring & Documentation of Attendance
- Attendance will be recorded daily and maintained by the course faculty or administrative staff.
- Each trainee is responsible for signing in/out (physically or digitally) for every session.
- Records will be reviewed weekly to ensure compliance with the attendance requirement.
4. Absences & Notification
- Trainees must inform the program coordinator in advance via email or phone if they are going to miss a session, unless in case of an emergency.
- For medical or serious personal reasons, supporting documentation (e.g., a doctor’s note) may be requested.
- Unexcused absences may result in the inability to complete the course or receive certification.
5. Making Up Missed Hours
To maintain the integrity and completeness of the training, all missed hours must be made up. Mrityunjay Yogpeeth supports trainees through the following options:
- One-on-One or Small Group Makeup Sessions (subject to availability and at an additional fee if applicable).
- Recorded Sessions (if available) with completion of a related assignment or reflection.
- Additional Assignments or Practical Teaching Hours are assigned by the lead trainer.
Makeup options must be completed within 4 weeks of the missed class unless otherwise approved.
6. Maximum Allowable Makeup Hours
- Trainees may make up a maximum of 15% of the total training hours.
- If absences exceed this amount, trainees may be required to re-enrol in the missed portion of the course in a future cycle.
7. Repercussions for Inadequate Attendance
- Failure to meet the 85% minimum attendance and complete makeup requirements will result in non-eligibility for certification.
- No refunds or credits will be issued for missed sessions.
8. Support and Flexibility
Mrityunjay Yogpeeth recognises that life circumstances can arise. We encourage open communication and will offer reasonable support where possible. We are committed to ensuring that each trainee has a complete and fulfilling learning experience.
Acknowledgement
Trainees are required to sign an acknowledgement confirming their understanding and acceptance of this policy before the start of training.
